50 things every Young Lady should know- a review

50 things ever Young Lady should know, is  a small book with 50 chapters on how to behave and react to everyday life. From asking a favor to being a dinner guest. It has valuable information for everyone not just young ladies, in fact while reading it all I could think was I wish my so in so, knew that. The chapters are short and concise and easy to read prefect for reading just before going to dinner as a guest or getting ready to go out. I did feel it was a little to conservative in some areas and didn’t give a more modern approach. I know this is small but standing to meet someone, if they aren’t my dad’s boss or the president of the US, I may not stand. I will stop what I am doing, acknowledge them and shake their hand but I may not stand and I feel this is still appropriate.

But when you aren’t raised in an environment that portrays these attitudes you don’t grow up with them or have reason to need them. Yes, these are 50 things every young lady should know but it’s also 50 things every mom, dad, brother, sister, friend, spouse and relative should know too. I know it can all start with one person but it feels a little sexist to be portrayed to only females…{and i am no feminist}

Honestly, this book should be called, “50 things every human being should know”.
