The Deliverer, a Review

This is the 2nd book in the Reluctant Demon Series by Linda Rios Brook. It focuses on the Israelites time in slavery to the Egyptians and the Exodus out of Egypt. We also learn more about Samantha Yale, who is translating these scrolls.

I am not going to lie, this book did not intrigue me as much as the 1st. I am not sure if it’s because I have heard and read the Moses/Exodus story so many times or what. Our Nameless Demon continues to narrate and send his reports to ‘Satan’ he also begins to put together a plead to God to be accepted back into heaven. Our little demon also continues to correctly predict what the humans will do in light of what God has done.

I recommend this series to anyone interested in the Bible and Bible Stories for a young adult and adult. There are tons of Bible Story books for children out there and only a few for adults. I also bounce her story version of the OT with my husband who is currently in his Scriptures 1 course at Truett Seminary. {He knows so so much!}
